When Communism was still raging in Eastern Europe, God called a young man, Sandor Nemeth to be a preacher of the Gospel. Sandor had just been detained by border guards and thrown into prison (he was trying to flee from Communist Hungary), where he prayed his first earnest prayer for deliverance. After being miraculously released from the prison, he bought a Bible. This is how the story of Faith Church begins, and continues to this day. The church, with a membership of over 70,000, is one of the largest Pentecostal-Charismatic Christian Communities in Europe. Today, powerful preaching, dynamic worship, a popular television ministry, a theological seminary with 1,000 students, a diverse charity network, and a special emphasis on relationships to Israel all characterize Faith Church.
